SMS Terms of Service

Effective January 1, 2026

These terms govern the text messaging (SMS) service that Surety Technologies Incorporated provides over a 10DLC (10-digit long code) number. By opting in and providing your mobile number, you agree to these terms. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Consent

By opting in, you expressly consent to receive text messages from Surety Technologies about service updates, technical and security alerts, appointment reminders, and support communications. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and message and data rates may apply based on your carrier plan.

Opting Out

You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will send a single confirmation and then stop sending messages to that number. You may also email info@suretytek.com or call (402) 896-4261 to be removed from our SMS list.

Message Frequency and Content

Message frequency varies based on your services and active support tickets. Messages may include security alerts, maintenance notices, appointment confirmations, and responses to support requests. We do not send marketing or promotional messages unless you separately opt in.

Delivery and Disclaimers

We are not responsible for delays or failures in message delivery caused by your carrier, network conditions, or your device. We do not guarantee real-time delivery. Critical issues should always be confirmed through additional channels rather than relying on SMS alone.

Information We Collect

When you use our SMS service we collect your mobile number, carrier information, and message activity such as delivery status, timestamps, the content of messages you exchange with us, and opt-out and help requests. We use this information only to operate and support the SMS service, respond to you, meet telecommunications and legal requirements, and improve our systems.

How We Use and Share SMS Information

Your mobile information is used solely to provide the text messaging service described in these terms. We do not sell your mobile number or message data, and we do not use them for targeted advertising or profiling.

No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the messaging platform, such as our SMS and 10DLC messaging vendor and carriers, strictly so that messages can be delivered and the service can function. These providers are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and we may also disclose information when required by law.

Data Protection and Retention

We protect your number and message data with reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, and we transmit messages through compliant 10DLC channels. Surety and its messaging and service providers may process and store your number and message data in the United States and in other jurisdictions where those providers operate. We keep SMS records only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and regulatory obligations, and resolve disputes, after which we securely delete or de-identify them. If a security incident affects your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law, including Nebraska's data breach notification law.

Your Choices

You control whether you receive our texts. You can opt out at any time using any of the methods below, and you can ask us to confirm, correct, or delete the mobile information we hold about you by contacting info@suretytek.com or (402) 896-4261. This section describes how we handle SMS information specifically; our general Privacy Policy covers all other information we collect.

How to Opt Out

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as our practices, technology, or legal requirements change. We will notify you of material changes by SMS or email at least 30 days before they take effect. If a change expands the categories of messages we send (for example, adding marketing messages), we will obtain your renewed opt-in before sending messages in the new category. Your continued use of the service after a non-substantive update means you accept the updated terms.
